The combined marque of Arrol-Aster was formed in April 1927 with directors from both Arrol-Johnston and Aster. The company lasted for two years before the receiver was appointed. Limited production and sales continued until 1931.

In 1928 the company restored Sir Malcolm Campbell's Land Speed Record car "Bluebird".
