1920

The Coventry branch of the English run Paris based arms company was established when Paris was threatened by the German armies. The Coventry factory made over 40,000 weapons before making engines for BSA, Gilchrist, Morris and others.

The prototype Hotchkiss used a Morris chassis but did not enter production.

Morris was to take over Hotchkiss in 1923.

The photographs of the 1912 and 1914 cars were kindly provided by Ross G Frater of Brisbane.
